BTW’s Crafted Concoctions · 115 E Main Street · Tavares, Florida

Where dark magic meets good times. Cursed cocktails, potions, and possibilities.
What it is
When the lights go low on Main, the bottles begin to glow. Hidden behind the ordinary lies The Apothecary Spookeasy, an immersive Halloween cocktail pop-up inside BTW’s Crafted Concoctions.
For a few strange weeks each year, the room transforms into a dimly lit gathering place filled with curious potions, peculiar artifacts, glowing concoctions, old spirits, questionable experiments, and things that probably should have remained undisturbed.
Our cocktails are built to be part drink, part story, and occasionally part terrible decision. Expect spooky atmosphere, theatrical presentation, dark humor, a little camp, and plenty of Halloween nonsense.
It is a bar, not a haunted house. No actors will chase you. No one is hiding behind a curtain waiting to scream. The only thing likely to sneak up on you is your bar tab.
Before you ask
We know how this goes. You have questions. The spirits have answers — most of them are even useful. Every question below has its own link, so tap a heading to copy a direct link to just that answer.

Friday and Saturday evenings tend to summon the largest crowds. Weeknights and Sunday afternoons are usually easier for walk-ins.
The Spookeasy is a small room with limited seating, so there may be a wait during busy periods. During especially busy service we reserve the right to limit visits to two hours, so everyone waiting outside eventually gets their turn with the spirits.
Stay awhile. Just perhaps not forever.
Please call ahead so we know how many souls are preparing to descend upon us: (352) 508-9287.
We cannot guarantee immediate seating for large parties, particularly on busy evenings. A little warning lets our team keep your group together and avoid summoning unnecessary chaos.
Planning well in advance, or have questions about a larger gathering? Email BTWTAVARES@GMAIL.COM.
We already have enough chaos without surprise reinforcements.
Yes. The Apothecary Spookeasy is not a 21+ only experience, and well-behaved children are welcome with their party.
A few things to know before bringing your smallest goblins:
The room is dark, unusual, and heavily decorated, so parents should use their own judgment about whether it is a good fit.
Yes. Our Spookeasy cocktail program is created specifically for adults.
Every cocktail on the Spookeasy menu, including spirit-free cocktails, is served only to guests 21 or older with a valid government-issued ID.
No ID, no potion. The spirits are surprisingly strict about paperwork.
Absolutely. Conjuring cocktails on an empty stomach is rarely recommended.
BTW’s full food menu is available while the Apothecary Spookeasy is open. Seasonal snacks, desserts, and other strange additions may also materialise during the run — check our menus and socials to see what has crawled out of the kitchen lately.
The kitchen closes 20 minutes before closing time. Do not wait until the final bell to discover that you suddenly require waffle fries.
You may sit outside through BTW, but the Apothecary Spookeasy experience is indoors only. The room is part of the experience, and the Spookeasy cocktail menu is served inside the Spookeasy.
Apparently the spirits have boundaries.
Think haunted mansion with a cocktail problem, not haunted house. The Spookeasy is dark, theatrical, strange, campy, and heavily decorated.
Expect blacklights, glowing objects, dim lighting, flickering effects, eerie sounds, creepy curiosities, unusual décor, and things that may move when you were fairly certain they were sitting still a moment ago.
We do not have scare actors chasing guests, and this is not a walk-through haunted attraction.
We use a fog machine, and the Spookeasy is a small, enclosed, dimly lit space. Lighting effects, fog, sound, and décor are in use throughout service. Because of the size and design of the room, we cannot turn off or alter these effects, change the environment, or create a separate area for an individual guest.
If fog, dim lighting, flickering or glowing effects, enclosed spaces, or heavily themed environments may make you uncomfortable or cause a sensitivity, please take that into consideration before visiting. The Spookeasy may not be the right experience for you.
The room is dimly lit throughout — bring your phone light if you need help reading the menu. Sometimes the dead are simply terrible at providing adequate task lighting.
Whatever you arrived from the mortal realm wearing is perfectly acceptable. There is no formal dress code.
Costumes, witchy attire, vintage horror looks, elaborate Halloween ensembles, and full theatrical get-ups are all welcome, but never required.
Come as you are. Or come as something with unfinished business. We are not here to judge.
Absolutely. If you survived the experience, you deserve evidence.
Personal photos and video are welcome. Please be considerate of other guests and avoid blocking walkways or interrupting service. Flash photography, tripods, large lighting equipment, and anything that interferes with the room or other guests may not be permitted.
Please treat all props, décor, glassware, and installations with care. Some things are fragile. Others are allegedly cursed.
Professional and commercial shoots, paid sessions, and planned content shoots must be arranged in advance. Email BTWTAVARES@GMAIL.COM before arriving with an entire paranormal production crew.
Please tell your server before ordering.
Our cocktails may contain house-made syrups, juices, citrus, herbs, spices, dairy, egg white, nuts, unusual ingredients, and other mysterious substances our bartenders have managed to acquire legally.
The menu changes throughout the season, so ingredients change too. Ask before ordering and let our team guide you toward the safest option available.
Never assume a potion is harmless simply because it glows.
We accept cash and most major credit cards. A 20% gratuity may be added to parties of six or more.
Ancient coins, cursed medallions, promises of eternal servitude, and payment “once the inheritance comes through” are unfortunately not accepted.
There is free parking in our own lot, and the city also offers street parking and nearby public parking areas if you need additional options.
Friday and Saturday evenings can become busy, particularly when other downtown events are taking place, so give yourself a little extra time to find a resting place for your carriage.
Once parked, make your way toward 115 E Main Street. If you somehow end up wandering alone through a cemetery, you have gone too far. Probably.
Yes. The Apothecary Spookeasy is wheelchair accessible, and we maintain room for wheelchair access as part of our regular layout throughout the year.
Please keep in mind that Crafted Concoctions becomes a small, heavily decorated immersive room during the Halloween season, so the space can feel tighter than it does the rest of the year.
The room’s fog, dim lighting, visual effects, sound, and décor are part of the Spookeasy installation and cannot be individually altered or turned off during service.
Have a specific accessibility question before visiting? Email BTWTAVARES@GMAIL.COM. We will gladly assist where we reasonably can — we simply cannot rearrange the entire haunted mansion once the spirits have settled in.
Pets are not permitted inside the Apothecary Spookeasy.
Service animals trained to perform a task for a person with a disability are welcome as required by law. Emotional support animals and pets are not permitted inside the restaurant or the Spookeasy under applicable Florida restaurant and health regulations.
If you are visiting BTW with a pet, please ask our team about available outdoor patio seating. The Spookeasy experience itself is indoors only.
Even Scooby occasionally had to wait outside.
Possibly. Private events, partial buyouts, and full buyouts may be available on select dates depending on your group size, preferred date, and our normal operating schedule.
The Spookeasy is intentionally small, so private-event availability during the Halloween season is limited.
Email BTWTAVARES@GMAIL.COM and tell us what you are plotting: your preferred date and time, how many people you are planning to summon, and anything else we should know. Availability, minimums, and options vary.
Séances remain optional.
